Description:

In this page I'm going to show some elements which are used in exterior designing. Also it is related to classic and modern elements in exterior designing. Our idea is combining pictures to show the difference between old and new designing in a smooth way.

Image I:

Lighting pole is an attractive element which can have a big impact on streets and parks elegance. I want to make an image which shows the time-line of lighting pole from past to today.
First of all I will find some relevant pictures and then combine them in an appropriate way.

By taking advantage of Photoshop it is possible to merge these pictures, editing and designing as well.
I resized these picture by free transform option in order to making a 800x600 image consists of intended elements. I used Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur to blur the image from left to right.

Then I used Filter-Render-Lens Flare in order to lighting up the modern lighting poles.

After that I changed Filter-Render-Lighting Effects to make the image attractive.

As you can see this image presents changing the design of lighting pole during the the passed time. It refers to the Movement principle of design. From left side to right side design of the lighting pole is changing gradually. As you can see from left to right pictures are going to be more clear and it refers to the movement of the time. Also the Formal Balance is shown in this image because there are four classic designed lighting pole in the left side of the image and also four modern designed lighting pole in right side. In other hand the glare of the light from right side of the image shows that by moving from left to right the lighting poles are going to be more developed and attractive.

Image II:

There are number of stuff which can be used in exterior designing of buildings such as Granite, adobe, brick, wood and etc. In each paticular time buildings has made by these kind of materials and designed as well. I decided to show four of these materials in an image like a fair.

At first I found a background which was suitable to show the elements like a fair, then I resized the elements like the previous image. Also in order to standing out the pictures I changed the vibrance, hue/saturation, brightness/contrast, color balance and shadows/highlights which are available in image-adjustment option. Also I add four wall pole above each picture.By double clicking on each pictures layer I changed the blending options. By enabling Drop Shadow and changing the angle to 90', and enabling Stroke to change the color of frame to gray and then Position to inside I made the shadow and frame optional.

Then I merged the wall polse and pictures layer in order to using Lighting Effects to stand out the pictures.

It is obvious in this image that I used the Formal Balance principle because of choosing two pictures in right side of the image and also two of them in left side.
